Upcoming summer review of 51³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø's platforms: steps to take

The annual review of our continuing professional development (CPD) platforms will be taking place in August 2024 to ensure we continue to provide the best possible experience for users. From the end of August, we are introducing a new and improved platform through which the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) programme will be accessible, alongside the Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) programme, and Leadership programmes.

Please note, your account will be offline from 1 August to 19 August 2024.

While this review and migration of systems is undertaken, from 1 August 2024, the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) area of the existing Professional Development Platform (PDP) will be unavailable. During this time, it will not be possible to view existing TLPD training needs analysis results, book upcoming courses, or browse T Level resources.

This review only affects T Level Professional Development (TLPD) content. If you already use the new learning system for Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) or Leadership programmes, access to these will continue.

51³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø will be in touch over the summer with information on how to set up your account on the new platform, as well as news and updates about additions to the T Level Professional Development offer for 2024/25. In the meantime, to prepare for the migration to the new system, please take the following steps:

By 31 July 2024

Register for recordings of sessions

The TLPD offer includes , such as Industry Insights workshops. You can browse the sessions available now and register before 31 July to receive a link to the recording. You will then be able to access and watch the recording whenever suits you, including during the migration to the new learning platform.

Updates to on-demand content

We are updating all on-demand online TLPD courses as part of the migration to the new learning platform. These courses will be available on our new platform from the end of August 2024.

In the meantime, please note that after 31 July 2024, you will no longer be able to register for on-demand online TLPD courses delivered via the FutureLearn platform. Any courses on FutureLearn that you have registered for, or start, before 31 July, will still be accessible to you until end of January 2025. However, these courses will no longer be monitored for comments or updated with new content after 31 July 2024, and you will not be able to enrol onto any new TLPD courses on this platform.

By 30 August 2024

Apply for T Level leadership mentoring

If you are involved with operational leadership for T Levels or the T Level Foundation Year, you can still apply for the T Level leadership mentoring programme while the PDP is unavailable and the migration to the new platform takes place. Apply using by 30 August 2024.

Once the new system is live at the end of August

Complete a new Individual Training Needs Analysis (ITNA)

Once the new system is live, you will need to complete a new ITNA for the 2024/25 academic year to receive your latest TLPD resource and training recommendations.

Download FutureLearn certificates

To continue tracking your CPD progress once your account is set up on the new platform, please download your certificates of TLPD course completion from FutureLearn, then upload these onto your dashboard within the new learning platform. You will be able to access certificates from completed TLPD courses on FutureLearn until the end of January 2025, but we recommend uploading these to the new platform as soon as you are set up with your account so you can keep tracking your progress.

From September onwards

Look forward to updates to the TLPD offer for 2024/2025. A range of new courses and CPD opportunities will be introduced across the whole offer, including an ‘Introducing the T Level Foundation Year’ course, available on-demand from 2 September 2024. This course will support individuals in a range of roles by providing an introduction to the structure and purpose of the T Level Foundation Year, and key considerations for design, planning, delivery and employer engagement.
